LIP FILLERS
Lip enhancement using fillers is one of the most popular treatments at our Sidcup aesthetic clinic.

People of all ages find full, sensuous lips attractive, and social media has increased the demand for lip augmentation.

Our practitioners can shape and augment lips to complement your look, whether you want subtle or more dramatic results.
Dani Louise Aesthetics specialise in EVERYTHING lip fillers! They are our thing. Whether it be Russian Lips, Signature Lips, a subtle Natural Lip or just a slight tweak to correct some asymmetry, we have you covered.

We were the first clinic to start offering the super popular Russian technique in Sidcup and have carried out extensive training and several specific classes to master every technique we offer.

We believe unlike many other facial fillers, lip fillers are an art. They cannot be done by everybody and each practitioner has their own style so it is so important to find a clinic who have a portfolio of work you like the look of.

You can look through our portfolio here on our website and whilst the Russian style may not be for you, you may find another style you love so be sure to check them out :)

Can you benefit from lip fillers?
CAN YOU BENEFIT FROM LIP FILLERS?

Not everyone is born with amazing lips. And even those who are likely will see their lips start to thin with age. Lip fillers injected by experienced practitioners can provide a range of benefits for clients who want to improve the appearance of their lips.

Injections of lip fillers can:
-
Augment Lip Size - Clients with naturally small lips come to Dani Louise Aesthetics for lip enhancement.
-
Improve Proportions - Often clients have an upper lip which is much smaller than the lower. The “golden ratio” for lips is considered 1:1.618, so the upper should be smaller than the lower, but often the ratio will not be close to this.
-
Create a Beautiful Lip Border - The lip border loses definition and gets wrinkly as we age. Dermal fillers can really make a lip border appear younger and more attractive by defining it and alter the shape if required.
-
Enhance the Projection of Lips - When examining the lips, the profile must be checked, and it should be determined if the projection of the upper or lower lips could be improved with lip injections.
-
Improve Cupid’s Bow - A well-defined cupid’s bow, the double curves on the upper lip, is one of the most common reasons people get lip fillers.
-
Shape the Lips: As we age, several things change with our lips, including the collapse at the lip corners, this leads to a less appealing shape. This can be improved with dermal filler. Also, for some clients, the area where the lips meet in the body of the upper and lower lip can be uneven. It can be smoothed out with dermal fillers.
In addition, our injectors use lip fillers to create a more well-defined groove under the nose, a feature called the philtrum, and also to help the skin of the lips look more youthful.
HOW IS LIP ENHANCEMENT PERFORMED?
Alcohol will be used to clean the lip area. A numbing cream will be applied to help ease discomfort. Your practitioner will inject using a very fine needle. Pressure with gauze may then be applied. Once the injecting has completed the lips are massaged to ensure the filler has moulded into place.
HOW MUCH FILLER IS NEEDED FOR LIP AUGMENTATION?
Our cosmetic practitioners assess your face to choose the dose for lip injections that will produce your desired results. Both your budget and cosmetic goals can influence the dose used.
Clients who want to minimize the cost of the procedure or who want more subtle results will only need small doses however first timers will mostly find they need 1ml to start with, even for natural results.
When building the lips we typically inject fillers 1 ml at a time and then follow up with 1-3 monthly injections until you are satisfied with the size of your lips.
IS THERE DOWNTIME WITH LIP FILLERS?
Some redness and swelling are expected after lip filler injections, with the upper lip usually swelling much more than the lower lip. The swelling usually lasts for 48 hours so clients often avoid scheduling any social events during that time. Other instructions for care after your treatment include:
-
No makeup for 24 hours
-
No strenuous exercise that day
-
No face products for 24 hours
-
No spas or saunas for 7 days after the treatment.
We encourage clients to contact Dani Louise Aesthetics if they have any concerns or questions following their procedures.
WHAT IS THE COST OF LIP FILLERS?
We price lip fillers per syringe at our Sidcup cosmetic clinic.
That means the total cost depends on the dose needed to produce the results you want. A typical lip augmentation treatment costs between £130 and £220.

We are one of the few clinics in Kent that do not charge extra for specific lip filler techniques such as Russian and Signature.
SIGNATURE LIPS

Our much loved signature lips are created using a range of different techniques practitioners at Dani Louise Aesthetics have learnt over the years, combined together to create the perfect lip shape.

We like to enhance the border and lift the cupids bow to create a beautiful balanced lip. Our signature lips can be created to look natural, glam or somewhere in between depending on the clients wishes.

We offer signature lips in our Sidcup clinic. We do not charge any extra for this technique.
RUSSIAN LIPS
The Russian lip technique is so popular right now in our Sidcup clinic. This technique focuses mainly on the centre of the lips, concentrating on height rather than width creating a heart shape similar to a Russian doll, hence the name. Filler is injected vertically to create maximum lift whilst keeping the lips as flat as possible with no protrusion, duck lips are never cool!

Russian lips aren't suitable for everyone. Anatomy plays a big part. Clients that have had filler previously may also need to dissolve old filler to ensure best results and to achieve the lift needed to create the Russian effect.

This technique isn't anymore painful than usual but can cause more swelling and bruising due to the way the filler is injected, this is something to bear in mind, especially if you have work the next day or an event approaching.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TYPES OF LIP FILLER?
We only use Hyaluronic Acid at Dani Louise Aesthetics. Hyaluronic acid works in the skin by drawing in water, it is found naturally in our bodies. We use these fillers as they are fully dissolvable which makes having dermal filler much safer in the rare case of an occlusion or if for any reason a client wants their filler removed, this is easily done.

We mainly use Juvederm, Lumifil and Revolax in our clinic in Sidcup. We do use other fillers also upon client request, however we do not always stock these and may need 2-3 days notice to order them from the pharmacy.

JUVEDERM

Juvederm is a well known and respected brand of dermal filler and one of our most popular hyaluronic acid fillers in our Sidcup clinic. Juvederm is available in several different forms each with its own function:

Juvederm Smile - Specifically designed for the lips and available in 0.5ml syringes. Ideal for clients who either want to maintain their lips, slighty define them but not add too much volume, or who may be cautious of 1ml and want to keep their lips looking very natural. Great for beginners and will last around 9 months on average.

Juvederm Ultra 3 - This filler is the same as Juvederm Smile but in a 1ml syringe. Great for beginners.

Juvederm Volift - One of our favourites at Dani Louise Aesthetics. This filler is really nice for shaping the lips, ideal for clients who want to concentrate more on shape and definition. This filler is also good for filling the philtrum, providing lift to the cupids bow. Lasts around 10-12 months.

Juvederm Volbella - Super light filler, we love this one for the lips! Keeps the lips soft and smooth. This is a great filler for the Russian technique. Lasts around 12-18 months.

Juvederm Voluma - This filler is pretty thick and not suitable for all. Not the filler you want if you desire natural results. Provides maximum volume and lasts around 18-24 months.

All Juvederm fillers contain lidocaine which is a numbing agent.

REVOLAX

This filler is only available in 1.1ml syringes. A great all rounder that can shape the lips, define lip borders and add volume. We have two options, with lidocaine or without. Lidocaine is a numbing agent inside most fillers to minimise pain. We do not recommend fillers without lidocaine for those with a low pain threshold or for clients nervous about pain. Lasts approximately 6-12 months.

LUMIFIL

One of our favourites, Lumifil is a great all rounder for natural or more dramatic results. We use both Lite and Kiss depending on the clients desired results and anatomy. Most of our clients find this brand of filler less painful than Revolax. Lasts an average of 9-12 months. Contains lidocaine.
